One of the things that stood out at the hostel was the bright and sunny kitchen. It provided the perfect setting for meeting fellow travelers over morning coffee or nightly family dinners. It felt like cooking in a big apartment shared with 40 of your newest best friends.
Bathrooms should be fixed.

I loved the diversity of people and experiences at this hostel. The hostel attracts interesting travelers from all over the world and hosts fun events like game nights and traditional dinners. The owner, Beza, is a fantastic person who goes above and beyond to help her guests. She even helped me recover my stolen money from the local police. I cannot thank her enough for her fearlessness and support.

The hostel offered great value for money and had a friendly staff. I also enjoyed the opportunity to meet travelers from all over the world. The location was convenient, with a beer garden and the best chicken place in the city nearby. Additionally, there were many restaurants and a mall close by for easy access to food and shopping.
One of the biggest drawbacks was the lack of cleanliness. The bathrooms were dirty, with overflowing toilet paper bins and cigarette ash on the floors.

The staff arranged a taxi for me at 5 am. Good breakfast with peanut butter. Helpful managers organized various events for guests. I stayed longer than planned. It felt like home.

I had an amazing time during my stay at Mad Vervet Backpackers. As a solo traveler, I was looking for a place that offered a diverse and enriching experience, and this hostel exceeded my expectations. The English-speaking managers were not only knowledgeable about gender and environmental concerns, but also created a globalist atmosphere that attracted interesting travelers from all over the world. The hostel organized fun events like Game of Thrones watch parties and traditional dinners, as well as couchsurfing events. The staff, especially the lovely lady running the place, were friendly and welcoming. The vibrant mix of locals, expats, and tourists at the bar created a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. I highly recommend staying at this hostel for its unique and unforgettable experiences.
Strongly recommend this hotel.
